Art
I taught myself pen rendering — a technique I continue to practice and refine today. I draw inspiration from artists like Alphonso Dunn, whose teachings in traditional ink work helped me appreciate the power of restraint, texture, and precision.
Art, for me, began quietly — a side practice to help me process time, space, and memory. What kept it alive was gifting pieces to people I care about, often drawings of their favorite animated characters. I’m especially drawn to the intricacy you can achieve with micropens. There’s something meditative about building form with nothing but fine lines. Over time, I hope to expand into landscape drawing, where the interpretations are looser and space feels more open.
Here is a gallery of selected works — a mix of early sketches and more finished pieces. It’s not meant to be polished, just honest. Click on the images in the collage for details.
